After RETTmobil, things were pretty busy at our company. Many of you had specific questions and requests—and that's exactly what we love. One of these points immediately sparked the interest of our development team:
An adapter bracket that allows the WTC2113 to be mounted on the WTC680 mounting bracket that is already installed.
Why is all this necessary anyway?
In many emergency vehicles, the WTC680 is permanently installed or even riveted in place. When switching to the newer WTC2113 charging cradle, a small problem often arises:
The hole patterns match, but the width of the brackets is different. Normally, this means removing the old bracket and installing the new one.
And anyone who has ever looked inside a vehicle where everything is precisely and securely mounted knows that this is neither fun nor fast.
The solution: an adapter tab
This is exactly where the new design comes in. The adapter tab compensates for the differences in width so that the WTC2113 can be easily screwed onto the existing mounting bracket—without drilling, without removing the riveted bracket, and without extensive modifications.
This saves time, money, and stress. And it makes switching to the new charging bracket much easier.
